    Kate Disley - BA (Hons), PTS Dip, MISRM, MSMA
     
    Kate heads up the team with a wealth of knowledge and passion.  She has extensive soft tissue experience & has worked with sports teams and individual athletes at professional and amateur levels.  After graduating in 2004 from Durham University, Kate continued her studies and qualified as a Sport and Remedial Massage Therapist in 2006. She holds a Level 4 Sports Massage Association (SMA) approved qualification and is a member of the Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage (ISRM).

    She is qualified in Kinesio taping Level K1 & K2 and has recently undertaken her APPI Pilates Matwork Levels 1 & 2.   Kate’s patient list is varied and she works with non-sports people as well as athletes. Some of her more regular customers include elite level gymnasts, triathletes and elite and club level runners. 

    Kate is a passionate follower and player of rugby union and has previous representative honours for County, Regional, and England Youth squads.  More recently she has been pursued by her patients to undertake her first (and maybe last) sprint triathlon. 
     

    Laura Donaldson - BSc (Hons), FHT

    Laura graduated from Leeds University in 2004 gaining BSc Hons in Sports Science and Physiology.  After travelling the world for a year Laura continued her studies in sport completing a University Certified of Enhanced Professional Development sports massage course through Sports Performance Services in 2006.  She has a level 4 sports massage qualification which is recognised by the Sports Massage Association.  

    Laura has experience of working with athletes from multiple disciplines and has worked with Durham City Football Club, Newcastle Falcons Rugby club and at various events including the Great North run and numerous outdoor events across the country.  Laura enjoys keeping active and regularly trains at Crossfit, a high intensity strength and conditioning program that focuses on functional movement.  


    Hannah Bedford - BSc (Hons), FHT

    Hannah began her career in the Army in 2004 and whilst serving, graduated from Northumbria University with a BSc (Hons) degree in Human Nutrition in 2012. During her Army career, she spent a lot of time on the physical, remedial and nutritional training of recruits and soldiers. Her love of triathlon and representation for both the Army and Great Britain (Age Group) team at international triathlon races led to training and qualifying as a Level 2 Triathlon Coach, Level 2 Biomechanics Coach and Spinning Instructor. 

    On leaving the Army in 2013, she qualified as a Level 3 Sports Massage Therapist (registered with the Federation of Holistic Therapists) and became an associate Registered Nutritionist with the Nutrition Society. She continues to develop her skills in massage, coaching and nutrition with a range of individuals from those with general complaints to serious athletes. She has a particular interest in triathletes and runners. She enjoys keeping fit and trains heavily for a ‘personal best’ at Ironman distance with an aim of qualifying for the World Championships in Hawaii.
